On the hunt for a small biz friendly bookkeeper?

We recently had a request to help a small business owner track down a small biz friendly bookkeeper.

For many years I used a Russian bookkeeper who worked in Australia called Maria. She was absolutely amazing and came to me through recommendation. She’s still my favourite ever bookkeeper. But when I started running the cafe at Harland Works as well as the building, we needed a bit of on-site help and so I started to look at bit closer to home. Or at least, a more friendly timezone.

if you use an online accounting system like we do (xero) and have your bank accounts connected to your bookkeeping package, you don’t always need someone local to do your books, and this can open up a huge choice of where to look.

But, in answer to Robert’s question as to whether we knew of anyone in Sheffield we asked other business owners to recommend people they had had a good service from. The replies we had included:
