Calling all Sheffield based artists, illustrators, photographers and creators aged 18-25!
We're looking for Sheffield's newest emergent talent for a one-night-only, multi-disciplinary exhibition based in a former knife works that is cemented in Sheffield's industrial history.
The Sheffield Young Artists Showcase is a free exhibition for all - free to submit, free to exhibit and free to attend! The evening is a platform for young artists to show their work, meet new people, find collaborators and talk about future projects.
We are looking for a mix of work, and will be presenting some works framed and hung on walls, some freestanding work on tables and some pinned on notice boards, so any work is welcome - from canvas, to framed prints, to sketches torn straight from the sketch-book!
The exhibition will take place on Saturday 22nd Feb, 6-10pm in The Events Space @ Harland Works, John Street.
This will be followed by an afterparty at Nightowls; Cafe Totem's genre-bending DJ event described as having “the same vibe as a house party at your best friend’s house!”
Sound like a bit of you? Submissions are now open! Each artist can submit up to 5 pieces for consideration.
As this event is free and we are not charging exhibition costs or entry fees on the night, we ask only that artists cover their own printing costs and provide their own frames where necessary. Exhibitors may sell their own works on the night, but these sales must be handled solely between creator and buyer independently of The Sheffield Young Artists Showcase or Harland Works.
To submit, or for more info, please email events@harlandworks.co.uk.
