Small businesses are a vital part of our economy. Put together, the smallest businesses provide nearly half of all the jobs in the UK's private sector. And there are lots of them: 4.6M businesses employ 9 or fewer people in the UK.

(In comparison, there are 8,000 'large' businesses with 250 or more employees).

So they are important to the UK economy. And important to us at Harland Works where the variety of businesses run by our tenants demonstrates how versatile small business is.
