Reservoir Dogs
We have a rescue dog. Here he is swimming for his much loved ball. When we first had him he was thin, scared of everything … and HATED getting his feet wet. He still doesn’t like to go out if it’s raining … but he has finally learnt to love swimming like the rest of us. Although I only swim when it’s warmer.
Swimming outdoors is another great thing about living in Sheffield, the #theoutdoorcity. There are lots of places we can find to swim - and here’s a friendly community of fellow enthusiasts you can swim with.
Although there’s lots of WhatsApp and facebook groups you can turn to, a great place to start is the SOUP Sheffield Outdoor Plungers’ facebook group if you want advice (recommended) or a swimming buddy (also recommended).
Or you could get some expert advice from a professional. Here’s a talk from ShAFF Online by Suzie Wheway and Lance Sagar.
Suzie runs Peak Swims and offers coaching for people who want to get into outdoor swimming.
