Most are based in our on-site courtyard cafe, the John St Kitchen. If you are planning your own event, you can also enquire about hiring the cafe and courtyard.

Coffee Training - Home Barista

John St Kitchen invite you to join Dark Woods Coffee's Head of Training Tom Wilkinson for an evening dedicated to exploring espresso in a domestic setting. You will learn about the importance of brew recipes, how to dial them in for perfect tasting shots, how to steam delicious silky milk as well as the history and culture behind your favourite espresso-based drinks.

The sessions will use the commercial espresso machine at John St Kitchen but you are also welcome to bring your machine from home as well if you would like to practice on your own machine. We’ll also be using award-winning Yorkshire-based Dark Woods Coffee.
