Nine Lives Poetry

  • Harland Works 70 John Street Sheffield, England, S2 4QU United Kingdom (map)

We love hosting Nine Lives Poetry. Their mission is to bring some of the UK's most exciting performance poets to a Sheffield audience and to create opportunities for budding Sheffield poets to take the next step in their poetry career. They want to support emerging local poets to hone their skills in a friendly and encouraging space.

This month their guests poets are Betty Doyle & Chris Lanyon.

Betty Doyle is a poet from Liverpool, England. Her writing has been published in both the UK and abroad, and she was most recently longlisted for the Mslexia Women’s Poetry Prize.

Chris Lanyon is a poet and mathematician from Cornwall, living in Nottingham, UK. His poems have appeared in Brittle Star, Up the Staircase, Ambit, Abridged, SPOONFEED, Finished Creatures & Under the Radar, among others. His debut pamphlet, swell, is available from Bad Betty Press.
